How much does rehearsal room hire cost at Stage Studios?
Stage Studios offers rehearsal room hire in Halesowen, West Midlands. Studios 1 & 2 are £13 per hour, Studios 3 & 4 are £15 per hour and Studio 5 is £16 per hour.
Where is Stage Studios located?
Stage Studios is located on the Halas Industrial Estate in Halesowen, West Midlands. We are easily accessible from Birmingham, Dudley, Stourbridge, Oldbury, Quinton, Blackheath and Rowley Regis, with free on-site parking available. We are located close to Junction 3 of the M5 motorway, approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Halesowen Bus Station and around 15 minutes’ walk from Old Hill railway station. Local bus services also stop on Dudley Road, close to Forge Lane.
Do you have free parking?
Yes. Free on-site parking is available for customers using our rehearsal rooms, recording studio and other facilities. Vehicles can be unloaded under cover directly outside the entrance, with access to a service lift for transporting instruments, amplifiers and equipment into the studio.
Is it easy to load equipment into the studio?
Yes. Vehicles can be unloaded under cover directly outside the entrance and a service lift is available for transporting amplifiers, drum hardware, PA equipment and other heavy items around the building.
What equipment is included in a rehearsal room?
All rehearsal rooms include a 5-piece drum kit, PA system, microphone stands, guitar amplification and bass amplification. Vocal microphones are available from reception on request, and additional XLR cables can be provided if required. Customers are welcome to bring their own amplifier heads and use our speaker cabinets, or bring their own amplification if preferred.
Do I need to bring my own drum kit?
No. A 5-piece drum kit is provided in all rehearsal rooms. Drummers should bring their own cymbals, drumsticks and any personal accessories they wish to use. Cymbals can be hired from reception for £2.50 per session if required.
Do I need to bring my own guitar amplifier?
No. All rehearsal rooms include guitar and bass amplification. Customers are welcome to use the equipment provided, bring their own amplifier heads to use with our speaker cabinets, or bring their own amplification if preferred.
Can solo musicians hire a rehearsal room?
Yes. Our rehearsal rooms are suitable for solo artists, singers, guitarists, drummers, keyboard players and other musicians who need a dedicated space to practise, prepare for performances or work on new material.
How many people can rehearse in one room?
Our rehearsal rooms are designed around a typical band setup, but larger groups can often be accommodated depending on the instruments and equipment involved. If you are unsure which room is best suited to your requirements, please contact us and we will be happy to advise.
Is there a minimum booking length?
Yes. The minimum rehearsal room booking is 2 hours.
Can I book regular weekly rehearsals?
Yes. Many bands choose to rehearse weekly or fortnightly, and regular block bookings are available. This can help secure your preferred rehearsal room, day and time.
Can I rehearse before a gig?
Yes. Many local and touring bands use Stage Studios for final rehearsals before live performances, tours and festivals.
Are your rehearsal rooms suitable for all styles of music?
Yes. Our rehearsal rooms are used by musicians from a wide range of genres, including rock, metal, punk, pop, acoustic, function and tribute bands, as well as choirs and other musical groups.
Are your rehearsal rooms soundproof?
Our rehearsal rooms are acoustically treated to help reduce unwanted reflections and reverberation, creating a more controlled rehearsal environment. As with most multi-room rehearsal facilities, some sound may occasionally be audible between rooms depending on the volume and nature of other sessions taking place at the time.
Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes. Food and drinks are permitted within reason. We have a reception area with seating where customers are welcome to take breaks, eat packed lunches or have food delivered. Refreshments, including bottled water, soft drinks, tea and coffee, are also available to purchase from reception.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes. Stage Studios welcomes musicians of all experience levels, from complete beginners through to professional touring artists.
Recording Studio
Do you offer professional recording services?
Yes. Stage Studios provides professional recording services for bands, solo artists, vocalists, podcasters and content creators in a relaxed and professional studio environment. Whether you are recording your first project, a demo, an EP or your latest release, we can help bring your ideas to life.
Can you record a full band live?
Yes. We can record full bands performing live together or track instruments individually, depending on the style of music and the approach that best suits you and your project.
Do you have a dedicated vocal booth?
Yes. We have a dedicated vocal booth for recording vocals, voiceovers and spoken-word content in a controlled recording environment.
Can I record vocals only?
Yes. Many clients book vocal-only sessions for singles, albums, demos, voiceovers and podcast production.
Do you offer mixing services?
Yes. We offer professional mixing services to help bring clarity, balance and impact to your recordings.
Do you offer mastering services?
Yes. We can provide mastering for recordings produced at Stage Studios, helping to prepare them for release and distribution.
Can I bring my own producer?
Stage Studios does not offer dry hire of the recording studio, and recording sessions are operated by our in-house engineer and production team. We are always happy to discuss your ideas and requirements before recording begins.
Can I record a demo?
Yes. We can record anything from simple demos through to fully produced recordings.
How long does it take to record a song?
Recording time varies depending on the style of music, the level of preparation and what you are looking to achieve. Some songs can be completed in a single session, while others may require multiple sessions. If you are unsure how much studio time you may need, get in touch and we can discuss an approach that works best for you and your recording.
How should I prepare for a recording session?
The best results come from good preparation. Rehearse your material until you think you are ready, then rehearse it again. Ensure instruments are maintained, arrangements are finalised and everyone involved knows the songs inside out before arriving.
Can I take home my recordings?
Yes. Final recordings can be provided digitally, and raw multitrack files can also be supplied on request. Where additional preparation is required, this may be subject to an additional charge.
Do you record podcasts?
Yes. We can record podcasts, interviews and other spoken-word content using our dedicated vocal recording facilities.
Can you help with vocal production?
Yes. We can provide guidance on vocal performance, recording techniques and getting the best possible results from your recording session.
What genres do you work with?
We work with a wide range of genres, including rock, metal, punk, alternative, acoustic, indie, pop, singer-songwriter and spoken-word projects. We are particularly experienced in recording bands and other live musicians.
Is your studio suitable for first-time recording artists?
Yes. We regularly work with first-time recording artists and aim to provide a relaxed and supportive environment. We are always happy to guide you through the recording process and answer any questions you may have.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and most major debit and credit cards.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Rehearsal bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Stage Studios does not currently offer gift vouchers at this time.
Are you open evenings and weekends?
Yes. Stage Studios is open seven days a week. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 10:00am–11:00pm, Friday 10:00am–10:00pm, Saturday 10:00am–6:00pm and Sunday 10:00am–10:00pm.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the studio.
Is Stage Studios accessible by public transport?
Yes. Stage Studios is approximately a 10-minute walk from Halesowen Bus Station and around a 15–20 minute walk from Old Hill railway station. There is also a bus stop on Dudley Road close to the studio, with regular transport links to Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge and the surrounding West Midlands area.
Can I charge my devices at the studio?
Yes. Power is available for charging phones, tablets, laptops and other devices. Please remember to bring your own charger.
