Rehearsal Studios Halesowen

Stage Studios is a rehearsal and recording facility based in Halesowen, West Midlands, with five fully equipped rehearsal studios available seven days a week.

Rehearsal rooms start from £13 per hour and include a drum kit, guitar and bass amplification and PA system. We also have additional equipment available if you need it.

There’s free on-site parking, an undercover loading area and a service lift, so getting amps, guitars and other equipment from your vehicle to the studios is straightforward.

We’re close to M5 Junction 3 and conveniently located for bands and musicians travelling from Dudley, Stourbridge, Oldbury, Blackheath, Rowley Regis and the wider Black Country.

The Studios

Stage Studios has five fully equipped, acoustically treated rehearsal studios, suitable for everything from individual practice and small groups to full band rehearsals.

Each studio includes a drum kit, two guitar amplifiers, bass amplification, PA system and microphones, with additional equipment available on request.

Our studios range from approximately 19m² to 31m², with rehearsal rates from £13 to £16 per hour and a minimum booking of two hours.

Equipment

Each of our five rehearsal studios is equipped with a vocal PA system, two guitar amplifiers, a bass amplifier and five-piece drum kit.

PA systems include EQ and built-in effects such as reverb and delay, with two Shure PGA58 vocal microphones provided in each studio as standard.

We also have additional microphones, mic stands, XLR leads and other equipment available to borrow if required. Just ask at reception.

Studio 5 is our largest rehearsal room and also serves as the main live room for our recording studio. More information about our recording facilities can be found on our Recording page.

There’s also a reception and seating area where you’re welcome to take a break between rehearsals or spend some time before or after your session.

Recording

Stage Studios is a recording studio in Halesowen, West Midlands, offering recording, mixing and mastering for solo artists, bands and other music projects.

Our recording studio is based around an Allen & Heath QU-32 digital console with AR2412 digital stagebox, with monitoring from Adam A8H and Yamaha HS8 studio monitors.

We have a selection of analogue outboard equipment from Warm Audio, Klark Teknik, dbx, ART and Lexicon, alongside a wide range of software, virtual instruments and effects. Recording and production is handled using Cubase Pro 15.

Our microphone collection includes Neumann, Shure, sE Electronics, Aston, Audix, AKG, Sennheiser and RØDE, giving us plenty of options for recording vocals, drums, guitars and other acoustic instruments.

Our main live room is approximately 31m² (333 sq ft) and is suitable for recording anything from individual musicians to full bands, drums, brass and larger vocal groups. We also have a separate isolated vocal booth for vocals and other sources where a controlled recording environment is required.

We prefer to get the sound right at the source, rather than relying on fixing problems later in the mix. Our engineers have many years of recording experience, including work for the BBC, commercially released recordings and music used in television and film.

How to find Stage Studios

Stage Studios is located at Unit 8T, Halas Industrial Estate, Forge Lane, Halesowen, West Midlands, B62 8EB.

We’re on the second floor and have a service lift for equipment, along with free on-site parking and an undercover loading area.

Public Transport

We’re approximately a 10-minute walk from Halesowen Bus Station and around a 15–20 minute walk from Old Hill railway station.

Bus services 241, 141 and 4H stop on Dudley Road, approximately one minute’s walk from Forge Lane.

Travelling by Car

From M5 Junction 3, follow signs for Halesowen Town Centre on the A456. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Grange Road (A459) and continue following signs for Dudley.

At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Dudley Road (A459) and move into the right-hand lane. Shortly after the traffic lights, turn right into Forge Lane.

Follow Forge Lane up the hill and Halas Industrial Estate is on the left, opposite the Pump House Cafe.
