Convenient Location:

Located in Halesowen, our studio is easily accessible, making it a convenient choice for local and visiting musicians alike. Ample FREE parking is available, ensuring a hassle-free experience for you and your bandmates. We are approximately 10 minutes walk from Halesowen town centre bus station and 15/20 minutes walk from Old Hill Train Station.

Buses 241, 141 & 4H are 1 minute walk from forge lane which regularly stops outside Shenstone house on Dudley Road, near Forge Lane.

Travelling via motorway
Exit M5 Junction 3. Follow signs for Halesowen Town Centre (A456). Take 3rd exit off island onto Grange Road (A459). Then follow signs for Dudley (A459). At island take 2nd exit onto Dudley Road (A459) manoeuvre into right hand lane. Just after traffic lights crossing Turn right into Forge Lane. Follow Forge lane up the hill and Halas Industrial Estate is on the left.

The Studios

We have five acoustically treated studios, each one designed to help you achieve the very best studio sound possible during your rehearsal. Studios 1 to 5 are fully equipped with quality back-line equipment (Marshall, Blackstar, Laney, Peavey, Mackie, Soundcraft etc.) Each studio has 2 Guitar Amplifiers, plus 1 x Bass Amplifier as standard, together with a 5-shell Drum Kit (including bass-drum pedal and hi-hat clutch). Additional mics and amplifiers are available subject to availability. Just simply let us know your requirements at the time of booking and we will always do whatever we can in order to meet your needs.

Equipment

Studios 1 to 5 all feature a quality Vocal PA system, running through quality speakers (Peavey, Mackie, Yamaha etc.) and all systems offer both comprehensive control of EQ, and built-in effects such as reverb and delay. 2 x Shure PGA58 vocal mics are available for all studios as standard. Studio 5 also doubles as a large rehearsal room as well as the main live room for our recording studio. Studio 5 is a fully functional digital recording studio (more information on our Recording page). We also have a sizeable Reception/ leisure area for your convenience, so you are more than welcome to take a little time out to relax and take some refreshments with your fellow musicians during your stay.

Recording

Our recording suite has a 38 channel Allen & Heath QU-32 digital console with AR2412 Digital snake, & analogue 20/4 snake at its heart. Monitoring is handled by our Adam A8H, Adam A7X x & Yamaha HS8 monitor speakers.

Our outboard is a selection of ART Multiverb, Pro VLAII, SCL2, Lexicon MPX200, MX300, MX400, Klark Technik KT76, DBX 1066 x 2, Roland Integra7, Roland D110`, Yamaha Montage 7, Korg M50, Korg X3, Quad Cortex & Kemper devices.

We also boast an impressive selection of microphones to record your session with Neumann, Shure, SE Electronics , Aston, Audix, AKG, Sennheiser, Peavey, Rode & Nady amongst others. We use Cubase 14 Pro and Logic ProX to record with both in the studio and out on location.

We also have an array of various VST plugins and virtual instruments. Our live room is 30.97 Square Meters or 333.35 Square Feet and has a great natural light reverberation which is excellent for recording Drums, Guitars, Brass, Vocals/ Choirs & many other instruments.

Our recording suite also features an isolated vocal booth with flat response and next to no reflections.

Our philosophy is to get as best a sound at source and then enhance on a solid foundation, we do not believe in the term ‘fix it in the mix’. Our engineers Alan, Rich & Alex have many years of experience and have worked with well known artists as well having done work for companies like the BBC on a number of occasions and had recordings on general release and feature on TV & film.

Vehicle – Rebel Yell (Vehicle are a superb 5 piece band and this recording was a ‘live off the floor recording’ the vocals were tracked separately).
Texas Fraud – Walking the Dog (Texas Fraud are a fantastic three piece band and this recording was a ‘live off the floor recording’ the vocals were tracked separately).
Garry Lynall – Latina Mona Lisa (Garry Lynall is an exceptional singer songwriter and has recorded 3 albums worth of wonderful country folk music and is currently working on his fourth album with us ).
Essential 80’s – Girls On Film (Essential 80’s are one of the best 80’s tribute bands that are currently performing around the Midlands and the UK. This recording was done along with four other tracks recorded in a full days session).

We are located at Unit 8T (2nd floor) Halas Industrial Estate, Forge Lane, Halesowen, Birmingham, West Midlands, B62 8EB. (We do have a service lift for equipment).

Public Transport
We are approximately 10 minutes walk from Halesowen bus station and approximately 15/ 20 minute walk from Old Hill Train Station.
