By making a booking with Stage Studios, you agree to the following terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the band or group attending the booking.
Booking a Rehearsal
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Stage Studios. A booking is not confirmed until it has been accepted by a member of our team.
Bookings can be made by telephone, WhatsApp, social media message or in person at reception.
Telephone: 0121 550 2771
We request a contact telephone number for all bookings so that we can contact you if necessary regarding your session.
Stage Studios reserves the right to refuse, reschedule or cancel a booking where necessary. If Stage Studios cancels a booking, you will not be charged for the cancelled session.
For rehearsal room sizes, equipment and rates, see our Rehearsals page.
Payment
Payment can be made by cash, credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The person, band or group making the booking is responsible for payment of the session in full. Payment should be made in advance or on the day of the booking unless otherwise agreed with Stage Studios.
Bookings may be extended where the studio is available and this has been agreed with a member of staff. Additional time will be charged at the normal hourly rate.
If you choose to finish your session early, the full cost of the time originally booked remains payable.
Cancellations
We require at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time of your booking if you need to cancel or change your session.
Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will normally be charged at the full booking rate.
We understand that illness, injury and unexpected circumstances can happen. Where possible, we will always try to be reasonable. If we’re able to re-fill your cancelled time slot, the cancellation charge may be waived.
Any other exceptions are at the discretion of Stage Studios management.
Studio Equipment
Equipment provided in each rehearsal studio is listed on our website. While we make every effort to ensure the listed equipment is available and working, equipment may occasionally need to be substituted due to maintenance, repair or other circumstances.
Additional microphones, mic stands, XLR leads and other equipment are available to borrow where available. If you require something specific, please ask in advance so we can have it ready for your session where possible.
Please do not remove equipment from another studio without permission. Equipment borrowed from reception should be returned to reception at the end of your session.
Breakages, Damage & Faults
Please treat the studios and equipment with reasonable care.
Any damage caused through misuse, abuse or negligence may be charged to the person, band or group responsible.
If you notice that anything is damaged, missing or isn’t working as it should, please let us know as soon as possible. This gives us the opportunity to sort the problem for your session and the next band using the studio.
If something is already damaged when you arrive, please report it to a member of staff so that we are aware of it.
Finishing Your Session
Please finish your rehearsal with enough time to pack down and remove your equipment by the end of your booked session. This allows us to prepare the studio for the next booking.
Please return mic stands and other studio equipment to their usual positions before leaving.
There’s no need to clean the studio — we simply ask that you leave it tidy and ready for the next band.
Recordings & File Storage
Completed recording projects and associated files are normally retained by Stage Studios for a minimum of 100 days from the date of completion.
This does not apply to projects that are still in progress.
The 100-day period also applies to stems, individual tracks and other files made available to clients for download or cloud transfer. After this period, files may be permanently deleted from our systems.
We therefore recommend that clients download and keep their own backup copies of all completed recordings and files.
Personal Belongings & Lost Property
Please keep personal belongings with you and make sure you take everything with you when you leave.
Stage Studios cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, stolen or damaged on the premises, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
If you think you’ve left something behind, please contact us and we’ll check our lost property.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the studio complex.
If you leave the building to smoke or vape, please use the appropriate areas outside and dispose of cigarette ends in the bins provided.
Please ensure that the main entrance door is kept closed when entering or leaving the building.
Drugs
Illegal drugs are not permitted anywhere on the premises.
Anyone possessing, using or supplying illegal drugs may be asked to leave the premises immediately. Where appropriate, the matter may also be reported to the police.
Food & Drink
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to Stage Studios.
Food should be consumed in the reception/seating area rather than inside the rehearsal studios.
Drinks may be taken into the studios, but please keep them away from amplifiers, mixing desks, microphones and other electrical equipment.
Any damage to equipment caused by spillages or negligence may be charged to the person, band or group responsible.
Rubbish, Drumsticks & Strings
Please use the bins provided for any rubbish and leave your studio tidy at the end of your session.
Broken drumsticks, used guitar strings and similar items can be hazardous to other people and may damage equipment, so please dispose of them safely rather than leaving them on the floor or around the studio.
